Energy 1 Question 5
- Buy more Wind turbines
- Use more Solar panels in houses and business's
- Create more Bio- Diesel plants
- Keep experimenting with other fuel sources such as algae, or vegetable oil
- Use more electric cars
- Focus on using more hydro electric energy
Energy 1 Question 4
- An article or website on how Americans can live more greenly and neing more smart about the decisions and how we waste our resources.
- A study on how a change from non-renewable sources to renewable sources such as wind and solar power affect the enviroment.
- The costs of having to buy a wind powered system compared to buying oil
- A comparison of how much resources we have used\how much was left
Energy 1 Question 3
Right now, we were using mostly oil (37%) , coal (23%) and gas(22%) all in which is very expensive and non renewable. To improve this condition where we aren't using as much non-renewable resources, we should start to replace these with renewable sources. By slightly increasing the use of Bio diesel, hydro, and solar power and decreasing the usage of oil, gas, and coal, over the years, we start to see a decrease in the usage of the non renewable resources. Using these renewable resources over the next 50 years can help keep the resources from running out.
Energy1 question2
Problem: We are using way too much of our non-renewable sources, more than we can produce. Natural Resources such as Wind power, solar energy, coal, and petroleoum all take millions of years to produce and cannot be replaced as fast as we can produce. Right now, our main energy sources used by humans are non-renewable. Non-renewable resources have a high carbon content because their orgin lies in plant fossils. When used, it turns into Carbon Dioxide therefore, it is non renewable.

Question 1: Is our energy use is sustainable?

A problem does exsist; we are using more of our nonrenewable resources than our renewable resources. We are using more resources than we can produce, such as, coal is a nonrenewable resource. Coal is formed from fossilized plants compressing over millions of years, so since fossilization takes so long it is much harder to produce such resources. Coal takes millions of years to be created, therefore, we are using it faster than it can be produced. Also other commodities such as wood, paper, and leather should be considered to be reused, because like coal and other non renewable resources, it takes longer to make them as compared to just reusing them. The United States uses about 92%of coal for generating electricity at this rate coal will no longer be present for our consuming.
